Undercover Drifter

The Story

Former legend Matthew, known as Mike, hides in a Los Angeles car wash, haunted by guilt over his brother's death in a racing accident five years ago. When James and Jack from the Mustang Team threaten the Flying Team with a massive dispute over a private test mountain road, Frank forces Mike to compete in a best of three bet. He defeats Jack in a drift race, scores eleven points in a glass pyramid challenge, and overcomes his trauma to beat professional racer James by just two hundredths of a second. Mike declines James' invitation and instead coaches Lillian, David, and Leo for the youth academy. They sweep the top three spots, leading Ethan to invite them to his team for the Burkitt Relay with Mike as head coach. During the rainy championship race, Mike guides Lillian past Victor's blocking and directs the team to victory. The Shadow Team wins the title, revealing Mike's true identity as Matthew, the genius racer who fell five years ago.
