Ninety-nine days before the tragedy, Catherine sacrifices her own life to secure a billion-dollar deal that saves her husband Ed from bankruptcy. Ed remains convinced that Catherine’s sister Mia funded the rescue, leading him to treat Catherine with contempt and demand a divorce. Upon returning home, Ed discovers Catherine’s cold body lying on the floor.
