Matthew Johnson, the chairman of Summit Group, returns to his birthplace of The Smith Village. He donates 400,000 dollars to build a local road as a gesture of gratitude. However, the villagers respond with jealousy and begin blackmailing him. Matthew exposes his true identity to the community. While traveling away from the village, he suffers a car accident. The crash causes him to lose his memory.
