What Was Ours

The Story

Maya Hart, a meticulous financial analyst, uncovers a devastating betrayal by her surgeon husband, Daniel. He has secretly emptied their joint marital funds to shower Eva, a young socialite, with a luxury penthouse, an expensive car, and countless lavish gifts. Repeated neglect and lies shatter Maya’s affection, especially after she endures emergency appendicitis and a high fever alone. She loses all love for Daniel and hires a divorce lawyer to compile solid evidence of asset embezzlement. Maya also anonymously exposes Eva’s unethical funding to the charity board she intends to join. The resulting scandal destroys Eva’s social reputation and Daniel’s medical career. Maya secures a fair divorce settlement and cuts all ties with her ex-husband. She builds an independent, peaceful new life centered on her own career and happiness, leaving the chaos of their marriage behind.
