You Picked the Wrong Heiress

The Story

Eighteen-year-old Sloane Reed hides her true identity as the illegitimate daughter of crime boss Marcus Voss, living quietly with her cancer-stricken mother Elaine. When Marcus suddenly acknowledges her to seize The Prize, Sloane enters the underworld to secure funds for her mother’s treatment. At the private casino The Dominion, she exposes an ambush and cuts off Roman Drake’s hand to take control of management. She stands alone against thirteen enforcers, asserting her authority while navigating conflicts between the Voss, Hale, and Whitmore families. Sloane exploits debts, surveillance, and internal strife to create rifts, working with police to gather criminal evidence. She finally lures the rival families to West Yard Chemical Depot, using Celeste Hale as bait to trigger a shootout that allows law enforcement to make arrests. With the criminal forces destroyed, Sloane graduates as valedictorian and a Governor’s STEM Scholar, returning to an ordinary life with her mother.
