A love that failed to survive

The Story

Emily’s life unravels the moment she receives an anonymous video. She watches her father, the man she forgave after he sent Victor Young to her bed to appease her grief, standing in a groom’s suit beside Morgana Ashford. Morgana is the woman whose affair killed Emily’s mother. Beside them stands Morgana’s pregnant daughter in a wedding gown, holding Victor’s arm. Guests cheer for the double celebration, praising the new couples. Her father dismisses Emily’s marriage contract as fake, declaring the unborn child illegitimate. Victor laughs and admits he cannot bear for the child to suffer the same fate as his own daughter, Isabella. Emily leaves the hospital in tears, only to see a sterilization certificate appear on her phone. The message confirms that the child in her womb will be the only heir if she wishes.
