Betrayed Love

The Story

Euphelia Lane discovers the man she loves is a spy. Sevian Gray, her personal guard, hides as a royal commander to protect his half-stepsister Loretta. For three years, he watches Loretta humiliate and frame Euphelia while ignoring her feelings. After overhearing Sevian’s true intentions, Euphelia rejects him and accepts a proposal from Cyril Thorne, Grand Duke of the hereditary territory. Cyril shields her from court factions using his ducal power. At Loretta’s birthday banquet, Euphelia is forced to kneel and slap herself. Cyril arrives to demand justice through Thorne family influence. Sevian later realizes Euphelia saved him years ago, not Loretta. He attempts to win her back but fails at their wedding. Cyril reveals he was never disabled, standing in full stature to protect Euphelia. Sevian banishes Morgana and Edmund, sending Loretta to the northern wastes. Euphelia lets go of the past and finds true love with Cyril.
