The Story

Seven years in Silvermoon Penitentiary leaves Lyra broken, but not defeated. Her Alpha father used Command to send her there instead of Selene, and her fated mate Kaelen promised to wait. He does not. Selene asks for Kaelen as a gift, and the family agrees. Lyra stays silent, letting them mock her in French while she plans her exit. She holds an encrypted contract to erase her pack identity and takes a diner job downtown. She lets Kaelen choose Selene and leaves her on a freezing street. She lets them build the ceremony. Then she leaves a journal and medical file behind. The family discovers the truth about the prison, the real donor of Kaelen’s kidney, and Selene’s lies. By the time Kaelen understands, the plane is five minutes from Dominica.
