The Story

Vera endures the touch of Elden, a beast king cursed to incinerate anything living. He forces a marriage by holding her mother hostage, yet she slowly sees his devotion as he heals and protects her. The curse requires consummation to break, but the backlash will kill Vera. Elden creates an antidote, but Lia swaps it for poison. On their wedding night, the curse lifts, yet Vera collapses into a deep sleep from which she never wakes. Elden mourns at her grave for six years. Vera is actually alive, raising twin children with golden beast ears in human slums. One snowy day, her daughter clings to a passing man and calls him Daddy. Elden discovers his lost family, but Vera refuses to forgive his deception. Meanwhile, an old enemy’s father raises a poison bow, vowing blood revenge against them all.
