Broken Vows, Her Crown

The Story

Curly brown hair frames a face twisted in agony as the young woman grips a hand tightly on a blue exam chair. She endures the sharp physical pain of a grueling IVF cycle, driven by the shared future she believes she holds with the man she loves. Her sacrifice is fueled by a desperate hope for their union. Then reality shatters her resolve. In a separate location, her elite billionaire partner kneels before another woman. He wears a custom pale-green checked suit adorned with a polished metal lapel pin. A full retinue of suited, sunglass-wearing bodyguards surrounds him as he makes a solemn, heartfelt marriage proposal. The contrast between her painful endurance and his romantic gesture exposes the brutal truth. The woman who thought she was building a life with him realizes he is pledging his vows to someone else. Her trembling form remains frozen on the clinic chair, the weight of his betrayal settling over her in the sterile silence.
