Daycare for Hell Babies

The Story

Grief drives Emma to strike a desperate bargain with Silas, the messenger of death, after her daughter Lily falls ill. She accepts a position as a teacher at Hell Kindergarten, where four trapped ghost children wait to move on. Initially, Emma views these spirits as mere obstacles standing between her and reunion with Lily. However, she soon discovers that each child carries deep wounds, including unresolved family guilt, a desperate need for recognition, crushing responsibility, and regretful final words. She listens to their pain, offers comfort, and guides them toward acceptance. As the gate between life and death finally opens, Emma faces a heart-wrenching decision. She chooses to let Lily go, allowing her daughter to be reborn. Emma returns to the kindergarten, dedicating herself to accompanying more lost young souls on their journey beyond.
