The Story

Kendall’s dream of marrying Mark shatters when he abandons her at the altar to satisfy Astrid, his childhood sweetheart, who used extreme threats to force his hand. The humiliation turns her into a laughingstock among high society. Mark then travels with Astrid and disappears for a week, leaving Kendall’s heart in ruins. With all hope lost, she accepts an arranged marriage with Dudley. He proves to be a gentle and considerate partner who remembers every one of her small preferences. Mark eventually realizes his mistake and tries desperately to win Kendall back. At her engagement party, he exposes Astrid’s feigned illness to the crowd. Kendall ultimately marries Dudley.
