Divine Hook: Reeling in Fortune

The Story

David rescues a donkey from Old Jiménez, only to learn the animal is actually a Celestial Steed. The creature locates a wife for him, Clara, and saves her from bandits. It shields David during another attack, healing his wounds in the process. Together, they expose a corrupt official and defeat the bandit threat. The steed aids David in building prosperity and guarding him against rivals. It also resolves a lingering misunderstanding. When an earthquake threatens the village, the celestial animal sacrifices itself to protect the community. After being resurrected, it ascends to the heavens with Clara, leaving their foals behind. David continues performing good deeds, demonstrating that such actions are ultimately rewarded.
