Don't Mistreat a Daughter Marrying Far From Home

The Story

Billionaire heiress Madeline Stanton conceals her fortune to wed Arthur Thorne, a divorced man from the countryside. Her mother, Valerie Sterling, reluctantly agrees to this union under a strict condition. If the couple maintains a happy marriage for five years, Valerie will accept Arthur and transfer the family business to them. Madeline’s expectations crumble as Arthur subjects her to repeated abuse and drains her finances. His mother adds to the misery by insulting Madeline for delivering a daughter. Ashamed to admit her failure, Madeline endures this torment in complete silence. As the five-year deadline nears, Valerie disguises herself as an ordinary woman to attend the infant granddaughter’s hundred-day celebration. Witnessing her daughter’s wretched existence firsthand, Valerie makes a firm vow to ensure Arthur Thorne faces justice for his crimes.
