Echoes of Us

The Story

Twenty years separate the orphanage vow from a high-stakes corporate betrayal. Damon, now the head of Hilton Group, confuses Sera’s stepsister Lina, who possesses the matching jade pendant, for his childhood sweetheart. Sera endures marriage as a business merger tool, suffering Damon’s indifference and Lina’s brutal abuse, which includes forced kneeling, poisoning, and near disfigurement. When a car accident leaves Damon critically injured, he requires a kidney transplant. Sera donates one of her own organs in secret. Waking up, Damon mistakes Lina for his savior and arranges a wedding with her. At the ceremony, Bianca arrives with DNA reports and surgical records that expose the deception. Damon breaks down at Sera’s bedside, weeping that he deserves hell. Lina faces arrest for attempted murder. Damon and Sera finally embrace on a lakeside bridge. He grips her hand firmly and declares that she will never escape him again in this lifetime.
