Emma's Last Summer

The Story

Emma Carter, an asthmatic teenager, dies at a school fitness camp when Principal Carter and Coach Monica Vance mistake her medical attack for an act. From beyond the grave, Emma observes Monica’s revenge and inheritance scheme collapse, resulting in the coach’s life imprisonment. The situation shifts when Emma’s estranged father passes away and leaves his estate behind. Filled with remorse, Principal Carter donates the entire inheritance to children with asthma, abandons her career, and begins teaching at an underprivileged school. Witnessing her mother finally atone and transform her life, Emma finds peace. She fades away into the sweet scent of watermelon juice, leaving the world behind after a final summer of change.
