The Story

Seven years of devoted support crumble during a single public celebration. Shen Wan and Gu Huai have shared a business arranged marriage, yet Gu Huai has consistently favored his assistant An Xin, viewing her as a proxy for his first love while ignoring his wife’s sacrifices. At their child’s full-moon banquet, Shen Wan’s suppressed frustration explodes. She files for divorce in front of everyone and executes a series of precise strikes. She discloses that the infant is not Gu Huai’s biological child. Next, she withdraws all her capital from the Gu Group, sending the company into immediate financial turmoil. Finally, she dismantles An Xin’s facade, exposing the assistant’s jealousy and hypocrisy. Gu Huai, confronted with these revelations, is overwhelmed by regret. He attempts to repair the damage by repeatedly begging for reconciliation. However, Shen Wan’s heart is permanently broken. She refuses to look back. She leaves decisively with her child, escaping the unfulfilling bond to start a completely independent existence.
