Father's Sin

The Story

A brutal raid on their home shatters the family’s fragile peace. Men from a behavior correction camp drag the five-year-old twins from the house, leaving their small hands gripping the car door as they scream for their father. Kathleen and the mother rush to find the children the very next day. They discover the girls motionless, covered in bruises, and long past their final breaths. The husband remains oblivious to the tragedy unfolding in his absence. Instead, he posts on Instagram to celebrate the pregnancy of his mistress. The source of the girls’ removal was merely a minor annoyance to his first love. The stark contrast between the girls’ silent death and his public joy defines the scene.
