The Story

Clara broke her immortal bones to remain a mortal queen, a choice that sets the stage for a devastating betrayal. Years later, the narrator descends from the heavens to find her chained in the Domon Suppressing Tower. Her meridians are severed, her beauty is gone, and her life force is drained to fuel the kingdom she built. Her husband crowns a new queen, while their own children call her a demon. When Clara dies, the kingdom celebrates her passing. The narrator, who chose immortality, remembers every detail of this cruelty. Immortals possess long memories, and the narrator now stands above the heavens. The narrator intends to bury them all.
