From the ashes of us
The Story
Elizabeth spends countless nights in the emergency room until her mother passes away. She calls her husband Adam, but the line connects to a woman moaning. Her voice shakes as tears fall, confronting him about his infidelity. Adam snaps back, accusing her of trying to blackmail him for one hundred million. He dismisses her mother’s death, claiming she is not worth that sum. Before the call disconnects, Elizabeth hears the other woman whisper that she cannot wait any longer.
