Grandma Went to War
The Story
Daisy Bell Hart endures relentless bullying from Briar Langley, the principal’s daughter, and her clique, while remaining an invisible, neglected child at home. Her silence finally breaks when Grandma Hart witnesses an assault in the school restroom. The elderly woman drives the bullies away with fierce resolve and captures photographic evidence. Daisy then begins hearing the fiery consciousness of her younger grandmother in her mind. Grandma becomes Daisy’s frontline defender, pressuring the school into holding a parent conference. The truth emerges, forcing the bullies’ parents to sign formal apologies. Principal Langley retaliates by accusing Daisy of cheating due to her abnormal grade improvements. When her parents attempt to sweep the issue under the rug and force a school transfer, Grandma tears the transfer papers to shreds.
