He Called My Daughter His
The Story
Emily Carter leaves Daniel Miller after six years of unpaid labor and the night her daughter Lily is forced to kneel in the rain with a fever. With no other options, she enters a practical marriage with wheelchair-bound CEO Alexander Preston. Unlike her biological father, Alexander openly claims Emily as his wife and Lily as his daughter. Safety and respect allow Emily to rediscover her fashion talent, which was buried under years of laundry and alteration work. Lily fights for her place on the ballet stage while the two navigate toxic family members and class prejudice. The mother and daughter build new lives together, refusing to shrink for anyone.
