He Said Raising a Kid Is Too Expensive
The Story
Iris abandons her family wealth to wed Dorian, a man of modest means. Three years later, she faces the intense pain of labor while her domineering mother-in-law, Tessa, demands a cheaper clinic. Dorian, a compliant son, sides with Tessa and pressures Iris to accept their cost-cutting measures. Despite the excruciating contractions, Iris refuses to yield to their absurd demands. Her strength wanes as the situation grows dire. Suddenly, her wealthy father, Alec, arrives at the scene bearing gifts intended for the unborn grandson. He steps in to shield his daughter from the couple's financial coercion. The arrival shifts the dynamic in the room, challenging the authority of Tessa and Dorian. Iris stands her ground against the pressure, while Alec asserts his presence. The family dynamics collide as the father-in-law confronts the couple over their treatment of his daughter.
