The Story

Mary, the beloved adopted daughter of the Taylor family, finds her peaceful life shattered when the biological daughter, Rose, returns. To hide a dark secret, Rose pushes their grandmother down the stairs and frames Mary for the act. Believing the deceit, the family sends Mary to a reformatory. She endures three years of torment there, leaving her disabled. Upon her return, Mary is cold and distant. She embarks on a path of retribution to turn the tables on those who wronged her.
