I Married a Man in a Wheelchair
The Story
Grant, the chairman of a massive conglomerate, grows weary of women who pursue him for his wealth. To avoid these superficial connections, he disguises himself as a poor, disabled man for blind dates. He meets Bonnie, a kind butcher shop owner who treats him with genuine sincerity regardless of his supposed poverty. The two marry, and Grant secretly supports her business while hiding his true status. However, his identity is accidentally exposed, leaving Bonnie hurt by the deception. She files for divorce, ending their marriage. At a later reunion, Grant publicly stands up for her, confesses his true feelings, and makes amends for his lies. The couple repairs their relationship and spends the rest of their lives together.
