The Story

Maeve Gallagher loses her husband to a conspiracy orchestrated by her own mother-in-law, Beatrice Sullivan. Beatrice colludes with trafficker Gimpy Barnes to kidnap Maeve's granddaughter, Lily. The child is purchased by Director Charles Kensington, who renames her Audrey and brainwashes her into despising her birth mother. Maeve's exhausting search finally locates Audrey, but the reunion is met with cruel insults. When Maeve's son, Connor Gallagher, is crippled while defending her, Maeve sells a kidney to pay for his survival. Charles Kensington's corruption is exposed, and he forces Audrey into an abusive marriage. Despite the domestic violence Audrey endures, Maeve secretly watches over her. Winston Blackwood attempts to kill Audrey, prompting Maeve to sacrifice herself to save her daughter. Audrey finally realizes the truth, seeks justice, takes in her brother, and begins anew.
