Lord of the Abyss

The Story

Eighteen year old Kane plunges into the Abyss to save his dying sister Lily. Of thirty thousand entrants, he is the sole survivor. Abyss Lord Vargos compresses his power into a black cat named Peanut and resides inside Kane. Branded a deserter, Kane signs a false confession and kneels before the memorial wall. He hunts monsters and battles in the Academy Arena to secure Lily’s survival. Each time he is cornered, he awakens Vargos’s hidden strength. With ally Aria, he defeats noble heir Lucius and reveals that talent is rationed by the Abyss Mother. When the city’s rift reopens, Kane assumes the title of Abyss Lord. He does not seek to rule. Instead, he enters the depths to close the door from within.
