Love That Cannot Go On

The Story

A cryptic video shatters the illusion of a perfect life. Emily’s father, the man whose affair killed her mother, orchestrated a marriage to Victor Young to win her affection. For months, she endured the pampered existence of a Beverly Hills princess, forgiving her father and falling in love with her husband. Yet, on the day of a critical ultrasound, both men abandon her for a supposed business project. The video reveals the truth: her father is marrying Morgana Ashford, the woman responsible for her mother’s death, while Victor is preparing to wed Morgana’s illegitimate daughter. They celebrate their new unions, dismissing Emily’s marriage as a sham contract. Her father whispers that the child will be illegitimate anyway, and Victor admits he cannot bear his offspring facing that fate. As Emily leaves the hospital, holding back tears, her phone vibrates. A sterilization certificate appears with a chilling message. It promises that if she is willing, the child in her womb will become the sole heir to her father’s legacy.
