Ma Was Wrong

The Story

Caroline Foster watches in horror as her stepfather, Robert Sterling, attempts to sell her sister Isabella to settle a debt. The violent scheme lands Caroline in the hospital, yet her mother Diane Sullivan remains completely unaware of the abuse. When Isabella flees and suffers a critical car crash, Robert intercepts every desperate call Caroline makes to their mother. Isabella dies tragically, leaving Caroline utterly disillusioned with Diane. The sisters’ shared trauma drives Caroline to uncover the truth about Robert’s affair. She teams up with Simon Gallagher to expose his crimes. Justice finally arrives for Robert, and a remorseful Diane reconciles with Caroline. The Foster sisters find closure after enduring years of neglect and violence, finally free from the shadow of their stepfather’s cruelty and their mother’s blindness.
