The Story

Four-year-old Millie pleads with her unresponsive mother on Christmas morning. Arthur learns that Clara died after delivering his child at St. Hilda’s Hospital. Agnes, deeply in love with Arthur, conceals Millie and presents her own daughter Nora as the newborn. Millie chases after Arthur’s carriage and stays with him as an orphan.
