Mom’s Gap Year
The Story
Ella, a quantitative analyst from a poverty-stricken background, enters a contractual marriage with Sebastian, the head of the Black Group, to secure funds for her mother’s liver transplant. Both parties benefit from this arrangement, with Ella receiving medical support and an apartment while Sebastian meets inheritance requirements before his thirty-fifth birthday. They live together as strangers until Ella becomes pregnant, only to discover the child belongs to Sebastian’s half-brother Nick. Nick orchestrates a scandal to damage the family, causing the group’s stock to plummet and inviting public criticism. Sebastian refuses to abandon Ella and flees with her to Switzerland. His attentive care gradually softens his cold demeanor, allowing genuine affection to blossom between them. Nick is eventually arrested. Ella safely gives birth to twin daughters, and their temporary contract transforms into true love. Sebastian replaces the agreement with a sincere proposal, turning their initial deal into a warm family unit that brings happiness to their once lonely hearts.
