Mother's Trap

The Story

Lila watches in shock as her mother transfers the family inheritance to Olivia, the maid, while treating her own daughter with cruelty. Suspecting a Southeast Asian curse, Lila investigates and uncovers a conspiracy between her father and the servant to seize the fortune. She reaches out to her maternal grandparents to prepare a counterattack, only to discover that her mother was already aware of the plot. Her mother had been pretending to be under the pair's control while secretly recording all the evidence. The two women join forces and send the conspirators to prison.
