The Story

Esther spends five years trapped in a marriage defined by betrayal and violence. Her husband Carl cheats on her and abuses her until he indirectly causes the death of their daughter. On their fifth anniversary, a heated argument leads to Carl’s accidental death. In a state of shock, Esther buries his body in the backyard and goes to sleep. The next morning, Carl reappears alive.
