The Story

Esther buries her husband Carl in the backyard after he dies during a violent argument on their fifth anniversary. The next morning, he stands before her, alive and acting like the gentle man she once loved. This new version of Carl is nothing like the abusive partner who cheated, hurt her, and indirectly caused their daughter’s death. Esther is shocked by this sudden transformation. She wonders if he truly returned from the dead or if someone else has taken his place. The man in front of her does not match the one she buried.
