My Freeze. Their Tears. No Forgiveness
The Story
Sophie enters a thirty-year sleep chamber to repay the Johnson family, her adoptive parents and three brothers, for their kindness. Raised in an orphanage before their adoption, she enjoyed twelve happy years until Camille, the parents' biological daughter, returned. Camille framed Sophie repeatedly, causing the family to view her as an outsider. Feeling disheartened by their selective listening and coldness, Sophie volunteers for her elder brother's five-year planned Sleep Project. On her eighteenth birthday, she severs ties with the family and donates her corneas to her blind second brother. When she awakes, her family has grown old. She no longer remembers them, leaving only a misplaced familial affection that becomes an eternal regret through the river of time.
