My Parents Called Me Ugly. Now They Don't Recognize Me.

The Story

Father holds an Oscar and Mother a Grammy, yet they view their child as a shameful burden. They nickname him Toad and exile him to Grandma’s home. Eighteen years pass, and he earns a spot at Harvard, preparing to return. The moment he appears with a mask covering his face, the familiar insults resume. His beautiful sister smirks, certain he remains the ugly one. However, a hidden truth separates them. Grandma mailed photos of his growth to the household every month, but they never opened a single envelope. Consequently, they have no idea what he actually looks like today. The family stands blind to the reality of the person standing before them, trapped in their own prejudice while he holds the key to their ignorance.
