My Rescue Captain Husband Chose to Save Her Over Me

The Story

A devastating earthquake crushes a residential neighborhood, trapping newlywed Lin beneath unstable rubble with her leg pinned by a heavy concrete beam. Her husband Ethan, the respected captain of the local fire rescue team, arrives first on the scene. Lin calls out to him with fading strength, certain he will reach her immediately. Instead, Ethan issues a sudden command to divert his team’s priority efforts to a neighboring building. His long-lost ex-girlfriend is trapped inside that structure. Lin remains stranded under the debris for six full hours without water or medical aid. A bystander finally mentions that Ethan’s own wife is still unaccounted for. By then, permanent and irreversible damage has already occurred to her body.
