One night with you, a lifetime for you

The Story

Leah runs a food truck in Austin, raising her five-year-old daughter Millie after a traumatic past involving her own family. She and Millie face public humiliation while Leah works hard to save money for her daughter's private education. Ethan, the third-generation head of a historic New Orleans baking family, controls several chain bakeries but faces threats from his aunt and uncle, who covet the family's national heritage status. His ninety-year-old grandmother threatens to disinherit him if he remains unmarried and childless by her next birthday. Ethan stumbles upon Leah and Millie being harassed by passersby and immediately intervenes. He offers them a job to impersonate his wife and daughter at his grandmother's birthday banquet. Meanwhile, the aunt and uncle secretly bribe Leah's mother and brother, setting a dangerous plot in motion that threatens to unravel the fragile arrangement between the two families.
