Reborn from Ashes

The Story

Elizabeth waits outside the emergency room all night, only to learn that her mother has died. She calls her husband, Adam, but hears a woman moaning in the background. Adam growls at her, demanding one hundred million dollars. He accuses Elizabeth of blackmailing him like a thief and questions why she thinks he has been too kind for the past three years. He dismisses her mother's passing, stating that even if she meets God, she is not worth the sum he requested. Before he hangs up, the woman speaks again, telling Adam that she cannot wait any longer. Elizabeth stands alone, tears falling as she tries to steady her voice against his cruelty. The betrayal cuts deep, leaving her shattered by the news of her mother's death and her husband's infidelity.
