Reborn to Keep Them Safe

The Story

Nathaniel Hawthorne wakes up in Mercy General Hospital carrying the crushing weight of a past life where everything went wrong. He remembers his newborn son Ethan being stolen by Head Nurse Margaret, leaving his wife so devastated that she ended her own life. Nathaniel then spent his final years as a lonely, alcoholic dying on the streets. Now, standing beside the very bed where his son is born, he is consumed by a fierce, unyielding need to protect his family. The traumatic memories of his previous failure haunt him, driving him to maintain a state of constant, paranoid vigilance over his child and his wife.
