Sophie the Mushroom Picker: All Episodes

The Story

Victoria Sterling’s daughter Sophie endures years of abuse in the home of Agnes Barton after being abducted as an infant. Starving and forced by Rachel Barton to forage, Sophie is rescued from a fall by Eleanor Abbott. She identifies toxic mushrooms in her basket and discards them, yet Agnes secretly recovers the fungi and stews them with chicken, banning Sophie from the meal. When Sophie attempts to warn the household, she suffers a beating. The tainted stew causes Rachel to miscarry, leading Agnes to blame Sophie. Fleeing to Eleanor’s residence, Sophie finds warmth despite the family’s battle with Leo’s leukemia. Victoria eventually locates her child and repays Eleanor’s compassion by curing Leo and securing her employment.
