Stepping Back to Let Go

The Story

Elizabeth shatters the silence of the room when she reveals that her former fiancé, Alexander, is very much alive. Five years ago, he faked his death in an accident to hide an affair with her adopted sister, Marjorie, while feigning amnesia. Far from being a victim of deception, Elizabeth has known the truth for years thanks to a confession video. She calmly displays a precious ring to the stunned onlookers and announces her engagement to Arthur Carter, Alexander’s uncle and a Wall Street tycoon. The revelation leaves the group in complete shock as Elizabeth steps into her new reality.
