The Assassin I Was Meant to Kill

The Story

Elegla Grey, the American Mafia’s elite heir, has spent eight years locked in a bitter feud with Italian rival Es Delucia. Their brutal warehouse duel, interrupted by police, forces both to retreat just as Russian leader Moscov emerges as a mutual threat. Launching a massive manhunt, Moscov targets both families, leading to a weapons-free charity ball where he attempts to bid for Elegla. Es outbids him, compelling the bitter rivals into a public dance that marks the start of an uneasy alliance. Constant shared warfare transforms their enmity into an unbreakable bond. Amid family conflicts and hidden histories, they uncover the truth behind Moscov’s twenty-year-old massacre. Es sustains grave wounds shielding Elegla from a fatal shot, cementing their connection. The feuding families reconcile and defeat Moscov together. After avenging her family, Elegla unites with Es. Once mortal enemies, they become lovers and partners, establishing a new order for the mafia world.
