The Birth That Broke the Boss

The Story

Nine months pregnant, Alessia endures a nightmarish confinement in a sterile underground room, held captive by her husband, Vito Falcone. Vito, the family underboss, forces labor suppressants into her body to delay her delivery. He insists that Scarlett, the widow of his deceased brother Daemon, must give birth first. A blood oath dictates that the firstborn son inherits the lucrative West Coast territory, and Vito claims this inheritance rightfully belongs to Scarlett’s child. He asserts that Scarlett is destitute and alone without Daemon, while Alessia possesses his full love. Despite her agonized pleas for a hospital, Vito strangles her and accuses her of manipulating the situation to steal the inheritance. He reveals that Alessia forced Scarlett to sign a prenup waiving her child’s rights. Vito promises to return to Alessia after Scarlett’s safe delivery, leaving her to convulse in pain while he prioritizes his brother’s widow.
