The Story

Ian, a high school football star with a college scholarship in hand, craves the warmth he never found in his own home. His divorced parents left him with a distant father and a life of quiet wealth, leaving him hungry for genuine connection. He finds what he believes is a perfect family in his girlfriend Ashley’s circle. After graduation, Ian joins them for a summer camping trip, expecting to finally feel at home. The open roads and shared meals initially seem to fulfill his deepest wishes. However, as the days unfold in the wilderness, the polished facade of his new found kinship begins to crack. Ian starts to witness behaviors and attitudes that contradict the image of perfection he had built in his mind, revealing a complex and unexpected reality about the people he thought he knew best.
