The Daughter They Tried to Break
The Story
Charlotte spends her entire life surrendering her dreams to cover her family’s debts for her brother. She abandons school and works tirelessly from dawn to dusk, yet her endless sacrifices never satisfy their demands. Eventually, she builds a modest business using a pot of bone broth and a secondhand food cart. This small enterprise represents her first true independence. However, her relatives strip her of this hard-earned asset once again, prioritizing her brother over her. The betrayal forces her to confront a harsh reality. Blood ties do not guarantee familial love or loyalty. Her struggle for autonomy ends in loss as they choose his needs over her survival, leaving her to face the consequences of their selfishness alone.
