The Girl in the Doghouse Was Mine
The Story
Three years of brutal overseas contracts end when a father returns home for his daughter’s sixth birthday. He sent eighteen thousand dollars monthly and paid the house in full, yet his fingerprints no longer open the door. A security guard raises a baton, and a starving girl throws herself in front of it, begging him not to hit her daddy. His wife has legally married another man, removed his name from the deed, and forced the child to sleep in a dog run. She beat the girl whenever she refused to call the new man Daddy. The wife also claims the husband is an unstable ex and prepared paperwork to have him committed. The family judges him based on his worn clothes, unaware of his true identity or who answers when he makes a single phone call. They label him crazy, but the consequences of his actions are about to unfold.
