The Story

A fingerprint fails to unlock the front door, trapping the father outside his own home. A guard launches a violent attack, but his daughter steps in front of him to shield him from the blows. She screams to spare him from further harm. The family forces her to sleep in a doghouse and punishes her for refusing to address a different man as her father. The wife has already married another man, using a forged certificate and removing the husband’s name from the property deed. She labels him unstable and dangerous, attempting to have him committed to a facility. The group mocks his past overseas experiences and calls him crazy. They underestimate what he actually accomplished during his time away. The current insults and rejections only fuel a growing realization that their assumptions about his limitations are dangerously wrong.
