The Kiln's Heiress: All Episodes

The Story

Clara Ríos returns to preserve her family’s legacy of blue-and-white porcelain. She immediately clashes with her grandfather, Sergio Ríos, a master of intangible cultural heritage who refuses to abandon traditional methods. While Sergio resists innovation, Clara devotes herself entirely to her art. Her series, The Four Seasons of the Yangtze, shatters the market’s stagnation. The collision between old and new ideas eventually leads to a reconciliation within the craft. Clara rekindles Jingdezhen’s wood-fired kiln, a move that allows the blue-and-white porcelain tradition to flourish once again. The tension between preserving heritage and embracing progress finds its resolution through their shared dedication to the firing process.
