The Lemon Tart

The Story

Debt threatens to crush Evan as he battles to fund his mother’s medical care and preserve Carter’s Bakery, the legacy of his late father. His integrity catches the eye of Henry Lawrence, who forces his rebellious granddaughter Ava into a three-month contractual marriage with him. This arrangement risks Ava’s inheritance but forces two strangers into a shared life. Their union starts with friction and strict rules, yet a jealous ex, hostile relatives, and public scandals gradually bridge the gap between them. The peace shatters when a fifteen-year-old accident reveals the truth behind Evan’s father’s death, exposing deep Lawrence family secrets and Victoria’s manipulations. Ava sacrifices her wealth to stand firmly by Evan’s side, while he discovers the strength to shape his own destiny. As the contract expires, they choose divorce together, only to immediately start a genuine relationship under a new Lifetime Dating Contract.
